Terms of Service

Draft. This page is a first draft grounded in standard mobile-app terms of service structure and this app's own real product facts. It has not yet been reviewed or approved as final by Lavenderx, and should not be treated as a live legal commitment until it has been.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chunkable (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. Who this is for

Task-initiation paralysis isn't limited to adulthood, so Chunkable isn't restricted to adults. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age where you live, if higher) to use it. Chunkable requires no account and collects no personal information to function, so there is no sign-up step where age would otherwise be verified; by using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. License grant

Subject to these terms, Lavenderx grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Chunkable on an Android device you own or control, for your own personal use. This license does not give you any ownership in the app, its code, or its design. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.

4. Purchases and billing

Chunkable's core brain-dump-to-checklist flow is free, with no time limit. Pro is an optional, one-time purchase ($9.99) that unlocks additional depth features. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and nothing that auto-renews.

All purchases are processed by Google Play's billing system and RevenueCat. We never receive or store your payment card details.
Refunds are handled entirely through Google Play's own refund process and policies, not directly by us.
The free tier includes the app itself and a one-time allowance of 20 AI breakdowns, counted for the life of the installation rather than per day. There is no free trial and nothing expires on a timer. Once that allowance is used, everything you have already created remains available and fully editable, and you can continue to write and manage your own steps without paying.
That allowance exists because each AI breakdown has a real per-use cost to us. It may be adjusted for future installations; a feature you have already unlocked through a purchase will not be removed or degraded.

5. Your content

Anything you type or speak into Chunkable (brain dumps, steps, custom AI instructions) remains yours. It is stored locally on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. To generate a checklist, the text of a brain dump is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) solely to produce that checklist; see the Privacy Policy for what each party does and doesn't retain. You're responsible for the content you choose to enter.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to submit content you don't have the right to submit.
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app or the services behind it.
Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse the AI provider integration outside of normal app use.

7. Not a medical device

Chunkable is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical or clinical advice regarding ADHD or any other condition. It is a general productivity tool for the common experience of a task feeling too big to start. If the app detects language suggesting a mental health crisis, it responds with supportive information and crisis-line resources instead of a checklist, as described in the Privacy Policy; this is not a substitute for professional help.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated checklists will always be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lavenderx will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the app will not exceed the amount you actually paid for Pro, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Third-party services

Chunkable relies on third-party services to function: Google Play (distribution and billing), RevenueCat (purchase and entitlement management), OpenAI (checklist generation), and Cloudflare (hosting). Each of those services is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, which we don't control.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and, if you wish, deleting your data via Settings → “Delete everything.” We may suspend or discontinue the app, or any feature of it, at any time; we won't retroactively remove or degrade a feature you've already paid to unlock while the app remains available.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to surface that in the app before it takes effect. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country entitles you to additional rights that cannot be waived by this clause.
